Maryam Soleiman oversees the day-to-day business affairs of the company’s many areas of concentration. Prior to joining The Rights Workshop, Maryam worked for Live Nation Worldwide, Inc. where she administered the breadth of Live Nation’s intellectual property assets. She also draws from her experience working for artists at two leading Los Angeles-based music law firms, where she negotiated music licensing deals for film and television placements and managed music publishing catalogs. She brings with her a deep understanding of the entertainment and music industries and is an experienced liaison between artists, record companies, publishers and managers. She holds a J.D. from California Western School of Law and a B.A. from UCLA.

This wall-to-wall music documentary was no easy feat as we located and searched for many un-reachable artists involved in this film. We cleared music, footage and photography and drew up contracts for this amazing portrait of an eccentric artist.

Walt & El Grupo

Drawing on the director’s intimate familiarity with the Disney studios and enviable access to archival materials, this film penetrates deep into studio lore in documenting a fascinating and little known chapter of film history: a 1941 research trip-cum–goodwill tour of South America by Walt Disney and a hand-picked group of his artists, nicknamed El Grupo.

Award winning filmmakers Dan Geller and Danya Goldfine came to us while in dicussions with Zeitgeist about us clearing over 80 cues of classical music. They needed it completed in a few months, with a very limited budget, for all rights in perpetuity. We did it, huffing and puffing all the way. They were happy, and the film is a big hit.
